We highly recommend Odyssey Tours as a tour operator in Costa Rica
I couldn't agree more with all the great comments about Odyssey Tours with Al and Diego. These guys are terrific and made our stay in Costa Rica such a pleasurable and memorable experience. We felt as if Al was part of our family and we even got to meet "big" Al, Al's dad when he was our driver one day. They were always punctual for our pick-ups, very friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to all my friends planning a trip to Costa Rica. I don't know how, but Al has the sharpest eyes in finding wildlife in the trees. And with his telescope, these animals and birds felt as if they were right in front of us. Costa Rica is such a beautiful place. If you haven't been, you must go. And make sure you use Odyssey Tours for your excursions.

We were so impressed with Odyssey Tours on how proactive and ambitious they were when it came to seeking our business and making our trip a most pleasant and non stressful experience. The two brothers Diego and Alvaro, along with their Father Alvaro Sr. were so helpful and knowledgeable regarding the Culture and history of Costa Rica and they knew all the places and activities that any adventurous traveler would be interested in. They helped us plan a fun filled 15 day vacation, and were there every step of the way when WE wanted them. They understand the need for economy in today’s world and provided all our transportation needs.
Most importantly when traveling for the first time to a foreign land, it is comforting to realize that you are not being taken advantage of and that you have found good people who do what they say and are dependable and conscientious. We arrived at night and didn’t know what to expect (actually expecting to be stranded or forgotten). Let me tell you what a relief it was as we cleared customs to see a smiling face holding a sign with out names on it. We jumped in the car and were offered Cervezas and were off to our initial destination, just like they said they would. Needless to say the rest of the trip went completely without any mishaps or unpleasant surprises.
We had scheduled enough time to explore and get around on our own and experience the wonders of Costa Rica. I highly recommend that if you are planning either an initial trip or return visit to Costa Rica that you get in contact with these conscientious young men.

Odyssey Tours with Diego and Alvaro.
Just returned from beautiful Costa Rica, a trip I took with my mother, and I had to comment on our Odyssey tours and our guide Diego... I had communicated with Diego and his brother Alvaro prior to my trip and they were both so friendly and helpful, felt like I had friends before I went to Costa Rica and was excited to meet them.. Diego picked up us at the airport, we were a little nervous because it took so long to get through customs and it was later at night, but leaving the airport there was Diego waiting for us with a smile on his face, the ride to the hotel was over an hour but the bus was comfortable and Diego told us about his country and the time flew by before we knew it we had arrived. We also booked Odyssey for the day trip to Manual Antonio park, which included the bus trip, hike, ocean swimming and lunch. for a fantastic fee. Diego was very knowledgeable and had a very good eye for spotting jungle creatures. I love animals and when I heard Diego yell my name that the monkeys
were starting to come out, could not be any more excited. I had told Diego I was a big animal lover and he made sure he pointed out every animal to me and let me use his binoculars. we saw tons of monkeys and I took some fantastic photos,it was a wonderful day... and I will never forget it. If you book a tour please go with Odyssey... you will be treated special and you will have the best time and receive a lot of information and culture about Costa Rica. My thanks to Diego and Alvaro for making our trip a special one, we will miss them...

Best guides in Costa Rica.
I would like to highly recommend this tour option for anyone traveling to Costa Rica. We were on the Celebrity Cruise Line (Mercury) and stopped in Puntarenas, where we met brothers Diego & Al Ramirez. We were two couples out to see as much as we could for the day in port. We wanted to see wildlife like crocodiles, we wanted to go zip-lining through the jungle, we wanted to see beautiful beaches, and we wanted to do it leisurely and comfortably. We did all that and more, and it was very enjoyable.
These fellows had a minivan with plenty of space for a nice trip. Diego did the driving and Al gave us incredible insight with regard to the wildlife, different species of birds, and much information about Costa Rica. Both speak excellent english. We had a very nice experience and feel they deserve our mention on behalf of anyone else planning a trip to Costa Rica and looking for knowledgeable and reliable guides.
Hello Doug & Lucille Williams. 21/02/09. Mercury cruise in Puntarenas.
Shore Excursion to Monteverde turned a day filled of fun.
I would concur. My girlfriend, her brother and his girlfriend (all novice cruise citizens) had a 6hr excursion in Puntarenas and we decided to take our chances and venture beyond the onboard package tour. As we disembarked and reached the end of the port, we were immediately surrounded by guides offering tours (perhaps we made a mistake crossed our minds). All were very cordial, but Alvaro and Diego stood out because of their genuine interest is showing us the best their country had to offer. Moreover, when we declared our decision to the other guides and their reply was, "Absolutely, you are in great hands" it only validated our decision. Monteverde's Cloud Forest sky walk tour and butterfly garden, a historical perspective on the sites, some shopping for gifts and a wonderful, fresh seafood meal later, we were back at the port ready to sail off and explore Nicaragua, Guatemala and Mexico. As we parted ways, I was left with two thoughts: (1) never doubt the spirit of the local tour and (2) how quickly can Alvaro and Diego setup operations in Nicaragua, Guatemala and Mexico.
